I'm a Senior Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist, with a passion for Digital Health Solutions, Family Therapy, Narrative Medicine and Training in the Healthcare Sector.

I have been working in chronic disease since I was 20 years old. In 2002, following the encounter with a special mentor, J.P. Assal, I decided to specialise in Therapeutic Education Techniques and Empowerment in Chronic Disease, working in public and private sector, in prestigious Hospitals and Universities in Italy, Switzerland and finally Australia where I reside.

I believe in the value of Therapeutic Relationship, Patient Engagement, Narrative Medicine and Compassion in Healthcare. I believe that everybody plays an important role in an innovative Health System, which is able to impact on health professionals and patients on different levels, thus allowing a positive individual and global change.

Curiosity and drive for Connection always guide my clinical activity and daily life. Every day I strive to give the “best” and do the “best” at work as well in my personal life. Sometimes I fail, sometimes I succeed... I’m Human, after all.

Learning new ways to connect with people gives hope and energy to manage difficult emotions that everybody experience at work but sometimes is too ashamed to talk about it.

Working in busy Hospitals is an unbelievable experience, I’m so lucky! But it can be frustrating and overwhelming at times.

Providing ongoing training to the “Whole” Hospital Team and create specific projects and spaces to discuss these feelings and coping strategies to put in place, has been showing positive impact on employee’s well-being and little patients and their families (1).
