About the event
This workshop enhances the General Practitioner’s ability to diagnose, treat and manage common presentations of mental disorders in children, adolescents and youth. The workshop will provide GPs with hands on activities and evidence based information on how to tackle school refusal, identify risks, appearance issues, bullying, anxiety, depression and suicidal ideations.
Learning Outcomes:
Develop skills in recognising and assessing mental illness
Monitoring and reviewing progress and referral of patients to appropriate services
Understanding how to assess patients at risk, patients with mood disorders including personality disorders, ADHD/Autism spectrum disorders
Understanding requirements of relevant MBS item numbers
